What will make me successful?
Here it is said you can't succeed in life if you don't know how to blow your own horn. I always believed in being modest and tried not to brag about my triumphs. But after reading an article on how to expose your good qualities, it has made me think that if you won't then who will do it for you??? I have understood sitting silently and listening alone is not going to help me. I have to talk about my opportunities, what all I know and how far I have reached intellectually. Also I have realized that while working together in a team, you have to make yourself heard. You have to show you are knowledgeable than anyone else. One step I can take is to stop over estimating others. Even if I am not the best but I have to show I am the best only then I can become better. Still I don't believe that looking down upon others would help me but one thing I am sure about is looking down upon myself won't. After coming to a different country, I know there is nothing right or wrong. All it is upto you and what you choose will make you. As Barbara Coloroso has said, "It is not WHAT you think but HOW you think that makes all the difference".
